Baths of Riolo

The town of Riolo, a place rich in history renowned throughout the world in the Middle Ages for being the residence of Caterina Sforza, owes its wealth to peculiar springs of sulphurous, salso-bromo-iodic and chloride-iodic water, whose joint action on the organism helps treat various disorders.
Immersed in a centuries-old green park, the Baths of Riolo are located halfway between a purely pastoral dimension and the active town centre, where several shops, hotels, restaurants and entertainment activities lead to a relaxing and exhaustive atmosphere particularly useful for treatments and rehabilitation.

The thermal water of Riolo flows from over sixty springs with different chemical characteristics. Its therapeutic properties are combined with those of the mud from the mud volcanoes of Bergullo.

It is mainly a sulphurous – salso-bromo-iodic water.

At the Baths of Riolo skin, respiratory, ENT, muscular, metabolic, circulatory and lymphatic disorders are treated together with smoking, food intolerances as well as gastroenteric, locomotor, rheumatic, gynaecological and urinary disorders.

Do not miss the local food and wine excellences; the area is characterised by several festivals dedicated to local products. Riolo Terme is the ideal solution for sports and nature lovers; in fact it offers various alternatives ranging from golf to water park, through naturalistic trails in the heart of the Parco della Vena del Gesso Romagnolo park. Among the suggested itineraries there is the Corolla delle Ginestre, a 60 km trail for hiking, horseback riding and mountain biking.
