Cassino, a medieval town rich in history and charm, is famous all over the world for the abbey of Montecassino, an ancient building which became a symbol of peace and quietness over the centuries, was carefully reconstructed after the Second World War and now has regained its former splendour.
Not far from the town of Cassino, the Varroniane Baths lie halfway between the ideal line which connects Rome and Naples and consist of an international camping, a private thermal park, various pools and all the infrastructures necessary for the maximum comfort even inside a small unspoilt area.
TOURIST INFORMATION
Cassino is the second most populated city in the province of Frosinone; it is located at the foot of the hill dominated by the famous abbey of Montecassino, in a historically strategic position for the communications between the central and southern regions of Italy. It is also called the martyr city, because it was almost totally destroyed by bombing during the Second World War. The city was rebuilt after the war and is the seat of the University of Cassino.
