Also known with their Roman name “Aquae Cutiliae,” the Baths of Cotilia are a peculiar thermal facility located halfway between Castel Sant’Angelo and Cittaducale, at a thousand-year old spring of thermal water, renowned since the dawn of civilization for its therapeutic and detoxifying properties.
Located in a complex dating back to the ancient Roman Empire, the Baths of Cotilia represent one of the Italian excellences in the thermal approach to numerous disorders thanks to the presence of precious springs praised by Pliny, Seneca and Varro as authentic sources of eternal youth.
TOURIST INFORMATION
Castel Sant’Angelo, the summer residence of the Pope, is a small town set in a frame of great historical natural charm. It is worth mentioning the volcanic lakes as well as the gorges of Mount Velino and Mount Terminillo. The various medieval towns in the neighbourhood should also be visited.
