Merano, the historical and cultural heart of the whole Alto-Adige, is one of the most popular tourist destinations of Northern Italy by virtue of its outstanding historical charm and naturalistic landscapes resulting from the water of the Passer river and culminating in the Dolomites which surround the city.
Located in the city centre, right on the banks of the Passer river, the Baths of Merano are an ancient complex with peculiar architectural features, where the presence of the several pools and rooms intended for inhalations allows for the treatment of the main respiratory disorders in the heart of the city that symbolises the Habsburg Empire.
