Small suburb of San Quirico d’Orcia municipality, in the province of Siena, Bagno Vignoni is an ancient historical village located in the heart of the Natural Artistic park of val d’Orcia and embellished by a plurality of naturalistic splendours derived from the presence of water famous for therapeutic effects, known and employed since the ancient Romans period.

Bagno Vignoni is a suburb of Val d’Orcia located nearby Pienza and Montalcino. This thermal station, already known in the Etruscan and Roman age owes its name, apart from to thermal baths, also to Vignoni castle, dating back to the XI century, whose ruins dominate the suburb. The main square is characterized by the presence of a great thermal pool;
In the past water flows from the pan to the baths in order to nourish a set of mills, which can still be seen in Mills Park.
The surrounding area boasts villages and medieval castles, among which San Quirico, a small medieval town of artistic interest and rich of historical palaces. We also suggests a stop-over to Horti Leonini, wonderful garden of ‘500. In the neighbourhoods, there are Montepulciano, Monte Amiata, Castiglione d’Orcia and Pienza.
