Baths of Montepulciano

Softly eased down between Valdichiana and Val d’Orcia, Montepulciano Terme is an enchanting place in the province of Siena, made famous all over the world by the prestigious production of local wine, by the presence of unique landscape glimpses and by a wide thermal tradition able to combine the enogastronomic virtues of the territory with a therapeutic action focused on natural approach.
Situated in the small suburb of Sant’Albino, the Baths of Montepulciano are composed of a modern establishment designed for therapeutic efficiency and they convert in effective cures the infinitive territorial resources of the municipality, allowing a focused action starting from the rich local mineral water and increased by the presence of a naturalistic context able to confer relief to senses and spirit.

The thermal water of Montepulciano flows from numerous springs, originated from deep calcareous layers or alluvial sands, at the temperature of 24-34°C; according to the mineralization level they are distinguished in strong, average and weak.

It is mainly a salso-sulphate-alkaline water.

At the Baths of Montepulciano ENT, respiratory, artrorheumatic, physiatric, vascular, orthopaedic, traumatological, dermatological and gynecological affections are treated.

Montepulciano is surrounded by vineyards and olive tree groves, in a hill area situated between Val d’Orcia and Val di Chiana. The city boasts old constructions such as the Cathedral and Civic Museum. We suggest to visit Cortona, Chiusi, Castiglion del Lago and Pienza. We also suggest to take a stop-over in Siena and Arezzo, not too far. In the neighbourhoods there is also Lake Trasimeno, beautiful in naturalistic terms.
