Battaglia Terme, a small town in the province of Padua, is located between the eastern end of the Euganean Hills and the Venetian plain and, precisely by virtue of its specific location along the border, has been renamed “door to the regional park of the Euganean Hills”, a definition which perfectly denotes the morphological characteristics of the charming resort near Padua.
The Baths of Battaglia, also known as “La Contea” (The Shire), is a modern centre approved by the National Health Service and is one of the Euganean excellences in the field of inhalation treatments, thanks to several specialised medical teams able to exploit the therapeutic properties of the water that flows from the unspoilt basins of the Lessini Mountains.
TOURIST INFORMATION
Battaglia Terme is the smallest town among the municipalities of the province. Located, south of Padua, between the eastern end of the Euganean Hills and the Venetian Plain, the town has been recently described as the “door of the Regional Park of the Euganean Hills.”
Its territory is enriched by some hills, among which Mount Ceva (256 m a.s.l.) is the highest one, which join to form an arch called “Horseshoe” because of its characteristic shape.
Among the sites to be visited, it is worth mentioning the Castle of Catajo and the Villa Selvatico-Capodilista, where there is a spring that flows in a cave and four warm lakes. In the outskirts, Este, Monselice, Montagnana and Baone should be visited. Padua and Verona are also relatively near Battaglia Terme.
